Do not bother, just you need to check in the Oraparam.ini file as well as /etc/SuSE-Release file.. I also encountered the same issue in my earlier days. Please check the following link.

i have done lot many windows installation it is my first installation on SUSE-10 i have encountered a very strange problem.As you know that sapinst stops for DB installation.It stopped as per installation guide i went for excuting ./RUNINSTALLER to install oracle it says ............OPERATING SYSTEM CHECK FAILED it means SUSE10 SP1 IS NOTCERTIFIED FOR SAP INSTALLATION .i checked PAM and suse-10 is there.how to proceed?what is the reason?
