Very recently we upgraded our SAP from SAP4.6C to ECC6. And they we completed with a big bang, I took this plan to remove existing 4.6c IDES and a ECC6 (non-IDES) installation to introduce to new things. The ECC6 EHP4 ides and a NW7.1 (non-IDES)……

The first one I have completed just yesterday, it took 2 man days (including OS installation, storage allocation and configurations and finally SAP installation..). It always gives me pleasure, because I am offered a chance to brush up my old knowledges…..

As I thought of this time I have divided this documentation in two parts. One will cover the installation (May be in pages – Because some of the reader complained in other pages that the screens are too small, I decided to increase the size of the screen shots in this write ups and not more than 6 per page….), and the other where I though I will accumulate my surprises and wish-lists.
